Summary

This Board Bill, recommended by the Board of Estimate and Apportionment, appropriates to the City of St. Louis Department of Health (the “DOH”) an additional Seven Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($769,668.00) in Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Enhancing Detection Expansion (“ELC-EDE”) grant funds awarded from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, resulting in a total ELC-EDE grant of Two Million Two Hundred Fourteen Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Three Dollars ($2,214,273.00). The original ELC-EDE grant amount of One Million Four Hundred Forty-Four Thousand Six Hundred Four Dollars ($1,444,604.00) was appropriated to DOH by Ordinance 71462. This Board Bill further authorizes DOH to accept the additional Seven Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($769,668.00) of ELC-EDE funding; authorizes the Director of DOH to expend all such funds, to the extent received, and to make, negotiate, and execute any and all contracts or other documents on behalf of the City for the purposes set forth in the grant; and contains an emergency clause.
